The original steel wheels were never designed for the extra stress radial tires can cause. They flex and twist which can cause wheel cover loss and cracking. Many collectors mount a nice set of repro bias-ply tires on their original wheels for shows and put radials on these wheels for the added safety and enjoyment radials offer. We offer those repro tires as well.
