Will give slightly better performance than thermostat A8270. Please note: This will increase the water temperature 20º. For some car this may cause over heating. This thermostat is welded to the end of a 1 inch long stainless steel thin wall pipe to keep the thermostat perpendicular to the outside of the upper radiator hose. This system is superior to the old 3-prong type that clamps to the water neck because those prongs can cause a leak and the clamp may not hold the thermostat perpendicular in the hose. The thermostat will work it's way up to the radiator neck, so it's best to install the unit at the top of the hose, pointed end up. Most pros recommend this.
