Due to lack of rebuildable cores we must remanufacture your original power booster. Simply send it in and in approximately 3 to 4 weeks we will send back your professionally rebuilt unit. Send in your original booster & master cylinder assembly & we will disassemble, clean & replace any defective parts & bench test the unit for proper operation. Please remove all switches, fittings & attaching hardware before shipping. If your master cylinder has a metal screw-on cover, it will be replaced with a plastic cover, so if you want to keep your original metal cover, do not send it in. No exceptions- customer MUST send their unit in to be rebuilt, as we have no cores available.
Power boosters and related parts are intended for replacement of defective units only. They are not intended for change-over from manual to power brakes, unless indicated. Many other factors are often involved such as vacuum fittings, brackets, and clearance problems. One way to switch your manual brakes to power brakes is to find a similar car with power brakes and remove all the brake-related parts to use on your vehicle. This also provides you with an exchange booster core so you save the core charge.
